The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a landmark in Cleveland, Ohio.
In 2019, they launched a capital campaign among previous and target donors to help update exhibit spaces and technology – in hopes of launching the next generation of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
I helped lead a team of designers, illustrators, writers and lettering artists to concept and launch the campaign, titled “2.0: Remixed and Remastered”
Leaning into a beautiful, contrasting logo, classic photography, colorful overlays, and Rolling Stone-esque type treatments, we put together a package that included digital media, and a box, booklet and sticker to be mailed to prominent donors.
Each booklet came with a hand-written note from a Rock Hall inductee – including legends like Eddie Vedder, Mick Jagger, Madonna, and Ozzy Osbourne.
Personally, my favorite part of the entire project was the font – but that font was more of an idea than anything; We scanned original lyrics from musical legends and pieced together an alphabet made from their own handwriting – creating a custom, one of a kind font for the Hall.
Rock on!
